The Bethany Congregation is affiliated to the Northeastern Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Africa (NELCSA).
NELCSA proclaims, witnesses and shares the Good News of God's grace in Jesus Christ.
About Us
Founded in 1888 by German settler community, we are a multi-lingual (English and German) and multi-cultural congregation.
We meet for regular bible studies, senior socials and of course our weekly Sunday worship services.
The organ, the brass band and worship team play an integral part in our services.
The highlights of the year, not only for our congregation but also for the surrounding community are our market days. The most well-known ones being our Bazaar with the sale of traditional German settler recipe meat products and cakes, which is held in Winter and our Christmas market, which is traditionally held on the Saturday before 1st Advent.

You are warmly invited to join us for worship every Sunday at 9:30am.
Our main Sunday Service is conducted in English. A German Service is held
on the 4th Sunday of every month at 8:00 for those who enjoy worshipping in German.
Jesus invites anybody who is baptised, and who believes His word, "My body given for you!", "My blood shed for you!" to take part in Holy Communion.
